What does an artist need to get started:
- All of your materials.
The clock starts when the artist gets all of thier materials. Other wise it sort of becomes a very unproductive start and stop game that will increase errors. This includes CAD files, scans and photos of the material, and even providing the URL's of the companies that have images of the products you would like shown in the rendering. If there is no web site then mail the materials and samples to the artist.
- Contract signed.
Most important is the agreement of the fee, schedule, and your expectations.
- Advance paid (if one was accepted in the contract).
Advances help the cash flow and get the artist focused on your job.
How to place an order if you're an established client.
The following example is for 2D rendering. -More details will be posted soon.
- Just email your CAD files, list only the elevations you would like to see.
AutoCAD 2000, 2002, and 2004 are accepted.
Hand drawings are also excepted.
- Send in a list of colors using the Glidden paint chart above for reference.
This way we are talking the same color language.
- Send digital photo references of materials like bricks, roof, stone, or send in a link to the suppliers web site.
